Our retreats are designed to renew your body and spirit:
Most women are too busy to go on a yearlong journey of self- discovery as Elizabeth Gilbert wrote about in her now famous book Eat, Pray, Love. And yet a well-orchestrated yoga retreat is a vacation-length sample of self-discovery; giving women the opportunity to renew their mind and body experience. Madeline Island, with its pristine landscape and the magnificent Lake Superior is the perfect complimentary backdrop for your yoga retreat.
Although both yoga and meditation will be a part of the curriculum, you don’t need to have experience with either to participate. There will be options for both the beginner and those who are more experienced. Experienced teachers and guides will gently lead you throughout your stay.
We purposefully do not give you an agenda for the retreat but look forward to answering any questions about planning and packing to help you prepare your trip. Upon receipt of deposit, you will receive a packing list. We will update you via email as to “what to prepare for” a week prior to your arrival so we can take weather into account. You will participate in several yoga classes and will want to consider the kind of retreat you choose for other packing needs. You can check in to your room the Sunday evening of arrival after 3pm. Depending upon your choice of a 3 or 4 night stay you will end your retreat at 12:00 the morning of check-out.
You can register for your retreat with a secure deposit of $500 through paypal(located on the type of retreat you choose page). If you prefer you can also register through mail. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
Our retreats are all inclusive and include:
A deposit of $500 is required to hold your reservation. The balance is due and must be received by Madeline Island Yoga Retreats 60 days prior to the first day of your retreat. If you make a one-time payment in full 100 days prior the first day of your retreat, you will receive a discount of 100.00.
Prices do not include airfare or other travel costs in association with transport to and from the island. You will need a vehicle for the island and should anticipate a ferry fee of approx. $45. We encourage and will assist you in carpooling situations if you do not have a travel companion but ultimately travel is your responsibility. You do not need to have your flight booked in order to put a deposit down. However, please confirm availability for a particular week prior to booking your flights. The closest and most convenient airport is Duluth International airport approximately 90 minutes from our port town of Bayfield. Room selections are available on a first come first serve basis so the earliest bookings will receive the rooms with the private patio and whirlpools. Our accommodations are primarily with the beautiful Lightkeeper’s Lodge; a full amenities stay.
After full payment is received we will send you a packet of information outlining what to bring and additional information to prepare you for your vacation.
Retreat prices do not include:
Please understand that like all other vacation and retreats businesses we must implement a cancellation policy to insure adequate reservation booking. We understand that unexpected events occur and for that reason strongly encourage retreaters to purchase travel insurance.
