New! Yoga and Riding is a concept that has gained much popularity over the last few decades, yet the fundamentals of both yoga and riding are rooted in century old tradition.

Both come together in this retreat designed to introduce you to the renewal properties that both yoga and riding can possess.

In partnership with Hippophile Farm, a beautiful horse farm nestled on the north end of Madeline Island, this retreat will keep your spirits elevated with a morning of yoga and an afternoon of horsemanship.  All levels of Yogis and Equestrians welcome.

Madeline Island Yoga Retreats is proud of the opportunity to work with professional horsewoman Kris Carey.  Her passion for horses started early, but it was not until she became an adult that she began to study and understand the human and equine connection.   She looks forward to working with women of all experience levels to help them appreciate and understand this powerful human equine partnership.

This is a four night retreat.  You will arrive on the island Sunday evening and check out Thursday at noon.  Your days will be spent working with Kris to understand the fundamentals of horsemanship with hands on experience grooming, tacking up, and riding.  In conjunction, Amy will be developing your yoga practices with special attention to opening up the body to best prepare you for time on the horse, and discovering the beauty of Madeline Island.
